How we started

 

Banderas began with Chef Evelyn M. Santiago's passion for creating savory, satisfying international dishes for others to enjoy. What started in the kitchen of her family's home in Nicaragua grew into a culinary journey through locales and flavors in the United States with adventures in Dallas, Tampa, and Atlanta. This passion for food and culture is reflected in the name "Banderas" which is Spanish for "flags." Chef Evelyn takes clients on a culinary trip around the world with visits to the exotic locales they choose while boldly flying the flag of flavor. Banderas offers both planned menus and personalized menus that can be created from a diverse array of international dishes. Chef Evelyn M. Santiago is a graduate of the Art Institute of Tampa with a degree in Culinary Arts. She is a member of the American Culinary Federation and has achieved ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification
