Banderas Catering Flies the Flag of Flavor in Atlanta

The closest thing Banderas Catering has to a birthday is June 14th, Flag Day. “Banderas” is the Spanish word for “flags.” I chose the name Banderas because it best represents my culinary style. I enjoy creating delectable international cuisine.

As a private chef in Atlanta, I take great delight in preparing meals from cultures all around the world. I prepare these meals with great care in the homes of people all over the metropolitan Atlanta area. These are people celebrating anniversaries with a romantic dinner for two in Sandy Springs, ladies enjoying a “Girls' Night” at a friend’s home in Alpharetta, or a family hosting a birthday party in Roswell.

In each of these scenarios, I invite clients to join me on a culinary trip to the locales their taste buds desire. My dishes take you to places in Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa without having to leave their seat. You don’t need a passport to see all the flags from the countries in these continents. Your tastebuds are your ticket to culinary adventure.

If you prefer to stay stateside with your special event catering, that’s fine, too. As a professionally trained private chef in Atlanta, I can prepare delicious American regional cuisine, too. Just tell me if you want savory Southern favorites, spicy Cajun, fresh New England or Mid-Atlantic seafood, or West Coast fare.

Flag Day All Around the World

Flag Day is celebrated in the United States on June 14 to commemorate the adoption of the American flag in 1777. President Wilson issued a proclamation establishing Flag Day in 1916. The U.S. Congress established National Flag Day in 1949.

While it’s not a national holiday where workers get the day off it is an important day for American heritage. Every year, the president proclaims the week of June 14 as National Flag Week and encourages Americans to fly the U.S. flag during the week.

Other countries celebrate their own flag days. Italy’s Flag Day is January 7. Mexico’s is February 24. Brazil celebrates Flag Day on November 19. India’s Flag Day is December 7.
